NAFI & King Schools Scholarship for certified Flight professionals
King’s School and National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFL) are working together to provide more value, education, and opportunities for NAFL members.
The purpose of Scholarship: King Schools and NAFI are teaming up to create an opportunity for a CFI to receive a valuable scholarship to further their education and training. This scholarship will be awarded in 2017 and 2018 to a NAFI member in good standing.
Scholarship Value: King Schools has created a scholarship for two NAFI Members to be awarded in 2017 and 2018. Each winner will receive $5,000 for the attainment of an initial or advanced instructor rating. It will also include lifetime access to the entire KING course library (includes FIRCs for life). The total value of the scholarship will be more than $18,000. The winner of the 2016 scholarship will be introduced at the 2017 Sun n’ Fun.
Scholarship Criteria : The criteria for the scholarship that must be met are listed below. The applicant must:
- Be a current NAFI Member in good standing
- Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating
- Identify or be enrolled in a CFI program or course for an initial certificate or advanced instructor rating. List training program and school name
- Provide copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook
- Submit a typed 500-word essay describing why they became an instructor or why they would like to become an instructor
- Submit 3 letters of reference
- Submit a professional resume
