Hank Hilsmann Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Name:

Purpose:

To promote technical education and training as a means for current and aspiring business aviation maintenance technicians and military personnel transitioning to business aviation to enhance their careers.

Eligibility:

Awards will be presented to U.S. citizens or permanent residents without regards to sex, race, religion or national origin. Award recipients will coordinate their training schedule with Dassault Falcon Jet Technical Support. Recipients must complete the awarded course within nine months of the date of announcement, or risk forfeit of the award. Applicants should possess a passion for aviation and demonstrate interest or involvement in using business aviation to enhance the lives of others.

Value:

Two Falcon Jet aircraft initial maintenance courses, plus travel expenses

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

Completed application package, which consists of a completed essay, resume and one signed letter of recommendation. Current students must also submit a transcript and for A&P holders, a copy of your license.

Jet aircraft initial maintenance courses conducted at CAE Simuflite in Morristown, NJ; Dallas, TX; and Little Rock, AR, as well as at Flight Safety International in Dallas, TX or Wilmington, DE.

Applications due March 17, 2017 and award in April 2017.

To support this position, NBAA Charities, in coordination with Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. and Dassault’s authorized training providers CAE Simuflite and Flight Safety International, offers the the Hank Hilsmann Memorial Scholarship to current and aspiring aviation maintenance technicians and military personnel transitioning to business aviation.
