AOPA Breitling Flight Training Scholarship $5,000 (10)

Scholarship Name:

Purpose:

The Breitling Flight Training Scholarship looks to assist with funding the next generation of pilots.

Eligibility:

•Must have a current FAA student pilot certificate at time of application

•Be a US citizen, or US permanent resident

•Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application

•Be a current and paid member of AOPA at time of application and when the scholarship is awarded.

•Not have completed the FAA written exam at time of application.

Value:

Ten scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

Application window will open in February 2016. Interested students should check the link below often in February as a specific date is not available from AOPA.

After completing the online application, applicant will receive a unique link for an online recommendation form that is specific to you. Send that exact link to two individuals and ask them to complete the online recommendation form by the application deadline.

Selection Process:

The recipients will be chosen based on merit, including previous accomplishments, ability to set goals, and demonstrated commitment to flight training and general aviation.

From World War II pilots to astronauts and commercial airlines, Bretiling has served the aviation community with reliable, efficient timepieces since the early days of flying. Now, the Swiss manufacturer is investing in the next generation of pilots with the Breitling Aviation Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide 10 $5,000 scholarships for student pilots.
