Aircraft Dispatcher Certification Course

Purpose:

Flamingo Air/Airline Ground Schools (AGS) will award one dispatcher training scholarship leading to an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Scholarship is for the Distance Learning Course with a six-day residency in Cincinnati, Ohio. No previous aviation experience required.

Eligibility:

Meet all WAI scholarship requirements and guidelines, GPA 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), enrolled in accredited U.S. engineering program, U.S. citizen or permanent resident. To complement the scholarship, American/American Eagle will host the winner with attendance to the 25th Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida (including air travel, hotel and Conference registration).

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

Applicants must be a member of Women in Aviation International by November 1, 2016, and may apply for no more than two scholarships. Internships are not included in the two per member scholarship limit. All application materials can be submitted in the same envelope. These requirements are the minimum for all scholarships unless otherwise indicated. Some scholarships may require additional information; please read the description thoroughly to make sure you meet all requirements

Selection Process:

All scholarships, unless otherwise noted, will be awarded at the annual International Women in Aviation Conference.

Scholarship applications must be signed and postmarked by November 14, 2016. Scholarship application materials should be mailed to WAI Scholarships, 3647 State Route 503 South, West Alexandria, OH 45381.

I can relate to that. I haven’t soeold yet but especially after my progress check I lacked such self-confidence in myself. I would get a knot in the pit of my stomach even just thinking about soloing, working past that now. Confidence has been a big factor in my training. From the 99s forum I read as well, it seems to be a common problem in female flight training.

I am looking for a full scholarship … or an organization or government to support me for this course
I also make a job commitment

I also have IT work experience, I can study and work at the same time
